Kassiem has hooked up an Exabyte EXB-8500 (5 Gig) tape drive to our aux server (phoenix). We'd like to back up our office machines.

Details

dev, landon and office should get backed up, probably by AMANDA (automatic backup software). The amanda server is set up and working on phoenix and dev's amanda client works. I think amanda needs to be recompiled on landon (an ancient but good debian system) and copied to office (ancient and slow). The client version should be 2.4.0p1 or greater.

• .rhosts and /etc/inetd.conf setup on clients - DONE michael 1999/03/21
• dev - DONE michael 1999/03/21 - just copied it from csuite
• landon
• office - copy from landon

Volunteers please :)

We're looking for a volunteer with some unix experience (or a fast learner). This means a volunteer gets root on landon & office and figures out amanda, make, scp (sshd is running on office now), tar, inetd...
